SmartPak Equine , the publisher behind many iOS app (SmartBlanket ,EQUUIZ - Horse Trivia ,SmartPak Blog ,SmartPak), brings SmartBlanket with a number of new features along with the usual bug fixes. SmartBlanket app has been update to version 1.0 with several major changes and improvements. App release that improves performance, provides several new options.

The SmartBlanket is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 8.4 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0 has been released on 2014-10-16. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. The previews look great and people say that its a great app but I have tried to installset it up a few times and each time when I go to open itget recommendations it loads partway then the app crashes Might be me but for now seems broken Looking forward to trying it out when its fixed though Looks awesome but broken

App is good when it works It runs on the heavier side meaning it calls for a heavier blanketsheet than I would recommend to use for temperature But app is pretty spot on then you can use your own judgement For the last several days the app will not open and is crashing Hope they update soon It is good when it works

I find that the smartpak app is amazing for the cooler and winter months I think it would benefit from increasing to pollen warning fly mask and a little bit more of a specific blanketing for like a special needs or senior horse Great and worth it

The concept is great and Ive had no issues with it I do see room for improvement though I would rather choose the horse then have to scroll through all of them because each one updates and takes awhile Id also like to enter more stats to get a better result The info currently entered gives me the same results for my thick coated Appaloosa as my thin coated TB so Im still making the judgement calls It has been very helpful though with my first winter with a clipped horse thanks smartpak Great ap just needs a couple more tweaks

Love the idea of this app but it isnt consistent It tells me my partially clipped horse on 247 turnout should wear a turnout sheet during the day when it is 65 and sunny but the following day when it is 60 and sunny needs no blanket Tells me to blanket during the day and not blanket when the temps drop 20 degrees at night Would be a good app if the recommendations made sense Doesnt seem to be consistent

This app was working perfectly until yesterday Now it wont show me my recommendations It just says NA And the tools are currently nonexistent What happened Please fix my new favorite app Please fix

Love this new app I am always standing in the barn thinking do they need a blanket or sheet on How heavy Will they be warm enough I love that I can enter each of my horses and can look at the recommendations based on my very different horses Super smart app

I used this app a while back because it was kind of interesting Now I cant get the location services to work Its super annoying Wont work

After downloading the app and answering the questions I gave it a few minutes to figure it out and the first time it also told me NA however I refreshed the page and it works beautifully I havent had any problems with the app crashing and its giving me a great look as to what sort of blankets I need to have out at the barn this week It really works

I expected there to be issuesbut with any option you choose whether clipped or not clipped outside 24hrs or indoorall I see is NA for suggestions While the idea of a blanketing app is amazing It clearly has major issues that need attention Ill pass Bugs on bugs on bugs

Thank you Smartpak Its such an easy concept but so nice to have it in an app Now I dont have to second guess myself Ill be using this app all winter long Worked for me

I manage a whole barn and wish I could pick from a list of names for recommendation or have a main page that shortly says which horses get what Slowly scrolling thoughloading time is a bit long takes way too much time and if I back up it returns to the very first horse Love this but need to be multihorse friendly Thanks Love but needs a short cut

Its working now but it says my horse whos stabled at night will be outside all night when I click the info button Is the recommendation incorrect Works now but a couple bugs

Love love love this app I plan my barn schedule around it But it recently stopped working Fix it Fix it

The only trouble I have had is sometimes the app is unable to connect to the internet even when my phone clearly has no connection problems I do agree that sometimes the suggestions are not correct different blankets for the same temp blanket for warmer temp and a sheet for a colder temp etc and that the app would be better if you could customize more of the horse info There are days when I have to use my judgement Most days it offers good suggestions and takes away that blanket or sheet doubt But if the app is anything like SmartPaks customer service I have no doubt they will make the app better for us and incorporate a lot of the suggestions given here Like it a lot SP can fix the bugs

Wish this app was a thing when I first got my horse Would have had fewer sleepless nights Now I dont have to second guess myself when it comes to deciding what blanket to use Definitely recommend to all horse owners LOVE

I love this app because it is so helpful instead of going outside and having to look at the temperature and trying to decide what to put on my pony I just pull it up and it shows me exactly what blanket to put on and it also shows the weather and why the blanket is recommended I love this app it is the best BEST APP EVER

Love this Even though ive been around horses most my life i do find times when i question what blanket to use BUT you do have to use common sense at the same time I dont board at a barn that blankets for me Nor am i able to go out twice or even once a day to switch blankets if it calls for it I usually go out 23 times a wk so i have to blanket accordingly Sometimes i have to under blanket If 4 days in a row say heavy n 1 day medium n back to heavy Do heavy if you can be out Also during the winter The days high temp is not till late afternoon an only lasts an hour So you have to take these things into consideration But overall it is a great app for those who sometimes just arent sure Great idea

A sheet on a clipped horse at 35 degrees at night I dont think so Nice try but I will keep doing it the old fashioned way The weather part of it doesnt even seem to work since the daytime and nighttime each have their own temperature range that dont correspond to each other I sure hope there arent too many shivering horses out there based on these recommendations Recommendations not appropriate

I downloaded it thinking it would really help me but as soon as I put in all my info on my horse it kicks me out and makes me restart DO NOT GET THIS APP Does not work

Crashes on the start up page would be an amazing app if it would work Please fix Please fix

I loved this app but it no longer seems to be working If they provide a fix I would be more than happy to give a 5 star review Bugs

Just downloaded and set it up and everything seems to be working just fine Looks to me like any bugs and glitches have been worked out Set it up for two horses and it looks great plus theres a lot of other things it can do beyond blanket recommendations Rated it four stars as it is not blanket season in FL yet so it remains to be seen how accurate the recommendations will be Works fine now

This might be a good app for people who are new to blanketing horses I think it leans way too far to the heavy side for my horse Hes a fat quarter horse with a thick coat and it recommended a mid weight on a sunny day with a temp of 35 He would roast in a blanket Thats a naked day for him The app needs to take more factors into consideration like breed shelter feed and if they tend to be on the cold side or hot side Eh

The app has great potential but it needs to take into account more things like the the horses coat lengthif unclipped the horses breed the horses food sourcehay or grass 247 or just grain x times a day or x flakes of hay a dayif the horse sweats easily and little things like that Great potential but

Its great I think they should have more precise things though Like should we lock out horses in or let them out Double blanketing More precise weight and coat and the blankets you have you should be able to put them in and pictures and it will tell youwith the blankets you already own rich to put on Its great otherwise use it every just an average joe with 5horses

The average horse would survive if you use these recommendations However it doesnt take into account a horses actual unique characteristics Does the horse sweat easily Does the horse get chilled easily My horse SHIVERS at 55F and the app tells me to leave him undressed down into the 40s when he ordinarily needs a midweight blanket to stay comfortable Im uninstalling Not good enough

Love the concept but it keeps crashing Want to give it more stars but I cant use it currently because it wont stay open Keeps crashing

I like this a lot Not that I couldnt figure out blanketing needs with just a weather app but this is so fun and user friendly I just have to glance at it and make the call Took about 30 seconds to set it up Easy interface Great job Smart Pak A big smile on my face

Great idea But seems to have some glitches The blanket recommendations for the entire week show as na for a fully clipped horse Seems to have some glitches

I just found this app and programmed it for my three horses It looks like its giving pretty accurate information on blanketing tips and is a useful tool especially if you were dealing with an inexperienced barn manager The only complaint or change that I would make is that it is difficult to see the days since they are too light in color Otherwise kudos to SmartPak for such a brilliant idea especially the easy link to purchase another blanket Thumbs up

This app provides great advice for blanketing and also weather Also is custom to your horse 5 stars Must Have For Horse Owners

Does not give blanket recommendations That is it does not do what it is supposed to Simply does not work

Just needs to be deleted reinstalled to restore normal function it DOES WORK
