Ihave always used a standalone Dictaphone to take transcription Now I can carry one less item and have the file put directly into my dropbox it without having to tether the Dictaphone to my computer Saves a lot of time Works exactly as described

I like the transcription service so downloaded the app to try However it appears that the ability to record a call is disabled the app would not record when a call was in progress even when the call was on speaker Disappointing as calls are the transcriptions I need most call recording disabled

Rev is one of the best apps I have ever used Its simple useful and works because its backed by Revs world class transcription service I can rattle off a quick email while Im driving and in one click its saved to my Dropbox folder and submitted to rev and by the time Im back home the transcription is waiting in my inbox Strongly recommended REV RULES
I downloaded the software so that I could voice to text so I can write in my free time What REV doesnt tell you is that you have to buy the service of transliteration Kind of silly if you ask me And to make things worse it takes up to 2 days too receive your translation LS Rev is misleading
No good if you cant open The mike was open in settings Tried a few times removed and downloaded again but no change Wouldnt let me get past Open Mike prompt

Just installed this app and the audio levels are loader nice than the iOS recorder BUT unusable because of cracklings buzzy noise like interference and lots of noise This is with my sennheizer lav and everything the same Just switching from app to app It also sounds like it has a noise hate limiter Not sure but Ill have to use iOS or look for a different recording app Crackling

A very easy and simple app to use Although it does not have audio input adjustment it picks up recordings with good volume and clarity I dont have the need for transcriptions but the app is now my go to recording app One of the Best
I have been wanting to write down my dads amazing childhood stories for many years I had them recorded but transcribing them myself was an incredibly slow process 10 mins could take me a couple of hours of painful stopping rewinding and restarting the recording I finally found Rev and got my transcript back with 24 hours The transcriber did an excellent job and understood most of my dads somewhat thick Indian accent I am extremely grateful and it is fairly easy now to listen to the recording again to review the transcript and make small edits here and there Again Im very thankful to have found this service and the cost is easily worth the savings in time effort and quality Transcription with accents excellent
This app works great on my iPhone 6 but this is the second time in three months that Ive tried it on my iPad mini and it freezes before you even get started The Please allow Rev to access your microphone screen has no option button When I go into permissions Rev is not there Go into the Rev app and there it only wants to track my location Since I need this on both devices Im going to look for another app Its a shame really I was so excited about this app I started telling people about it before I started using it Tricked again

Just lost a years worth of recordings had to reset my phone turns out the app does not backup to iCloud at all without notifying contains a Dropbox sync feature but doesnt tell you if you have synced or not to dropbox so instead its just lost No common sense backups
I just started using this app and it is wonderful So easy to capture a musical snippet on the keyboard or sing a lyric a cappella and send it across the country to my collaborator I love it Great for capturing musical ideas
I use this on my mini and its fantastic I can upload audio for transcription much faster and the turnaround on my transcriptions have average 6 hours The transcriptions are error free and clean This is a great app and service Incredible app
In the beginning I would record a whole lecture but now a problem would occur and stop recording on its own I would miss important lectures please fix this Stop recording mid way
