Anybody tried out Air Quality China from Computer Application Studio available in the App Store as an alternate     Alternate

Perfect                 Good app

This app reads out the same levels that the Chinese Communist Party altered ones do They dont have an app but use the US Embassy website or even the best so far aqicnorg I used aqicnorg for 3 months in BeiJing to find out the government altered ones usually HALF the levels This app is a LIE     AQI levels are FALSE

App is censored so the readings arent accurate Sorry to say     Censored

It used to be first app that I opened in the morning to check air quality in Beijing But since the censorship was enforced it is no longer useful I am removing it from all my iOS devices BTW this morning the CN measurements was showing 59 while the US was 109 so do not tell me that they are close readings     Let me know when it is fixed

The Chinese government forced the developers to censor this app so it no longer gives readings from the US Embassy in Beijing But that was only the beginning of the problems Now the app is blank whenever I open it and the notifications in the Notification Center never update Im going to switch to a better one        Gone downhill

I dont want to see fake data from China Government please bring US Embassys data back     Please bring US Embassy index back

They allowed their US embassy feed in Beijing to be removed because of a government censorship request They instead rely on the often unreliable and manipulated Chinese government data     Caved to govt censorship

This app uses censored data that underreport the actual air quality index in Beijing The values in this app are often half that of the real values Look up the real values on the US embassy website then download an app that reports those values Its a shamethis app has great features but doesnt tell the truth     Inaccurate

This used to be an essential app for anyone living in or traveling to China But now the US embassy readings have been censored The data readings that remain tracked by this app are often obviously inaccurate Just the fact that the US Embassy readings are not available casts doubt on the readings that remain particularly since historically the readings have diverged significantly Despite what this app reports the air quality in Beijing is not always excellent Not for weeks in a row in the middle of winter in Beijing When anyone can see that visibility is less than 1km The air quality is better this winter than winters past China seems to be making important strides but theres still a long way to go Does anyone know if there is an app that displays the US embassy readings in real time     Used to be an essential app

Since it no longer includes US Embassy data it no longer gives an accurate PM 25 count for Beijing I gave them a few days after APEC to see if theyd put it back up but without that its pretty much useless Too bad Was a nice app before     Now inaccurate deleting

Its a shame that I have to uninstall this Sadly this app is now useless We had some good times though Like that 900ppm day in January 2013 Redacted because of some reasons is a hoot though     Thank you for your service

When youre living in a big city in China you cant afford to not know what the air is like This app updates multiple times a day and even shows airquality in different regions of the city It also keeps records of every days airquality for the past year so you can form an idea of the dangerous months in your area              Solid app for lung health

No more US embassy data now what do we want the app for     Done with it

app写的不错可是AQI值不准和美国使馆测出来的差很多its a well written app but the AQIPM25 value appears to be way off from what came out of the US embassy        Good app but not so accurate number

This app consistently underrepresents Beijings 25 Instead of being a credible source the numbers that this posts seems more like a thing of CCP fiction than true data Ive crosschecked over the past and it consistently reports a 25 level 70 lower than it should be Perhaps the developer was taken to tea and the numbers represent this App is a waste of time     Worthless data

Right now the app says 82 but the US Embassy says 164 This is only one data point but having looked at this app for years I can confidently say there is usually much more than a 510 difference Regardless its the principle Why would the government ask them to remove the embassy data What are they afraid of Do they believe that the embassy measurements are scientifically unreliable I feel bad the developers are caught in the crossfire but I just dont have very much confidence in the official Chinese measurements     There is a discrepancy between US China data

Unlike what a previous reviewer stated the difference in reported data between the US embassy and whats reported in this app is HUGE Currently this app says the PMI is 78 while it is listed as 144 at the US embassywhich by the way is generally a lower rate than most parts of the city due to its location     No longer the real picture

In Data History for the Months tab the labels for months are wrong one month off           The month label is wrong

I just downloaded the app and everything seems to be accurate I cross checked with aqicn and the US Consulate site The data also passes the look out the window test where I am at right now in Guilin Ill update the review if I find a problem but it seems good                 So far so good

You know its a problem when you no longer can get US Embassy rating for Beijing but you can still get US Consulate rating for ShanghaiChengduetc Why censor Boo on you Im removing this app for not trying to provide all data points     Censorship in BJ

Works fine for what it is Unlike other reviewers I do see the US Consulates reading for the city Im in which is always the highest and it seems to match up with the data online              Works fine

People complaint about removal of US embassy source due to censorship in APECactually the difference of china raw data and us embassy data is not that big around 510quite normal deviation depend on the locationthe big difference is the AQI calculation Chinese AQI is much lower than US AQI with same raw data so at the raw data level Chinese data is still reliable and you need to judge by your self if this raw data is health or not instead of the AQI telling you              Still one of best AQI appunderrated

Ive used this app for a while now and am sad to say that Ill have to remove it because they allowed China to censor US Embassy AQI China numbers are usually lower than the US Embassys and I trust being able to see both numbers together not just Chinas Today China is saying its 168 and US Embassy is saying 306 Thats a big difference You can bookmark the US Embassys webpage as an app on your phone and check that instead     Removedcensored US Embassy AQI

I used to like this app But I lately wondering if something is wrong because the alert does not always let me know the AQI get worse I think the app seems to put more and more weigh to Chinese gov measurement It bluntly screen US embassy measurement Seems Chinese gov even blocks US embassy website If they cannot control the pollution at least they can control the reports Totally misleading Latest statement The air quality data is redacted as required by the government order It was briefly shown this morning but retracted shortly after inair for a while What a candid statement     Totally misleading

An extremely useful app in an extremely polluted place China                 Excellent
